DOHALAND has signed a landmark agreement for QR 1.56 Billion with the Joint Venture of Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd ‐ HBK Contracting Co. for the construction of the major buildings in Phase 1A of its signature project ‐ Musheireb.
In a press conference held today at the Four Seasons Hotel, Doha, a delegation from Korea including H.E.See Jeong Chang, the Korean Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Mr. Joong Kyum Kim, President and CEO of Hyundai E&C, Shaikh Ali Bin Hamad K Al Thani, HBK Chairman and Managing Director, representatives from Bauer Qatar LLC and C.A.T International, were welcomed by the CEO of DOHALAND Eng. Issa M. Al Mohannadi. As a Subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, DOHALAND’s board members consist of high profile Qatari professionals directing the organization to be a reputed national brand with world class quality.

The team of Hyundai and HBK brings together a world class contractor with a leading local contractor following a stringent pre‐qualification process that enabled selection of suitably qualified contractors to tender competitively for the construction of the Amir Annex, Amiri Guard, National Archive Buildings and Cultural Centre of Phase 1 A of Musheireb project. This award to the Consortium concludes the award of a total of QR 2.2 billion of the major construction packages for Phase 1A, the first of the five phases in the Musheireb project including other major contracts let to date for phase 1A
